Human Rights Lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has pummeled the Nigerian government's request giving relinquishment of assets in accounts without bank confirmation number (BVN).
Nnamdi Dimgba, a judge of the Federal High Court, Abuja had allowed the mandate to CBN and business banks a week ago after an application by Abubakar Malami, lawyer general of the organization (AGF).
Yet, in an announcement, Adegboruwa refering to area 36(1) of the 1999 constitution (as changed) and Article 7 of the African Charter, said it was not appropriate to decide the privileges of gatherings in their nonappearance.
He said the BVN was a strategy choice that was not "supported by law".
The legal counselor likewise blamed the "bindingness" of the request on a great many bank clients who he said are not specifically gatherings to the suit.
