President Muhammadu Buhari will on Wednesday leave Nigeria for Istanbul, Turkey to take an interest in the ninth Summit of the Developing 8 (D-8) which hangs on Friday, October 20, 2017.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, revealed this in an announcement on Tuesday.
Adesina said preceding the D-8 Summit, Buhari, at the welcome of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, will take an interest in an official working visit to Ankara, the capital city.
As per the announcement, the President will have a heart to heart with his Turkish partner in Ankara while appointments from the two nations will have exchanges in different fields including protection participation, security, instructive and relocation issues.
He said Buhari would likewise visit the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey in Ankara where he will meet with the Speaker, Ismail Kahraman.
He included that while in Istanbul, the Turkish business focus, the President will utilize the event of the D-8 Summit to support warm and developing ties over a wide scope of territories of participation with pioneers of the D8-part nations, to be specific Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan and Turkey.
