Kano affirms associated case with Monkeypox

The Kano State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Kabir Getso, has affirmed that an associated case with monkeypox has been recorded in Bebeji Local Government Area of the state.

The magistrate, who made this revelation, while preparation newsmen on Saturday in Kano, expressed that the blood test of the patient had been sent to Abuja for clinical check.

He included, "One of the side effects of the sickness was seen in the patient, however we are suspecting that the infections is a greater amount of chicken pox than monkeypox."

He noticed that the speculated casualty had been isolated and put on serious clinical watch until the point that the aftereffect of the example was gotten.

"The state additionally distinguished 60 individuals who had contacts with the patient and every one of them have been isolated," he said.

Talking further, the chief said that a group had put the whole territory where the speculated case was recorded under clinical watch, including that the state had set up an exceptional facility to deal with any flare-up.
