PDP: South West gathering rejects Bode George, backs Secondus

 A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, bunch in South West, on Sunday dismissed the application of Bode George and different wannabes competing for the gathering's chairmanship stool.

The gathering known as Oodua PDP Alliance, while communicating its help for Uche Secondus, said the geopolitical zone should look for another position in the gathering in light of the fact that the zone was not the base of the PDP.

In an announcement marked by the pioneer of the gathering, Hakeem Ogunsola, who is one of the gathering pioneers in Osun State, said it would bolster Secondus, who filled in as the administrator of the PDP National Working Committee in the vicinity of 2015 and 2016.

Ogunsola expressed, "We need to take note of that reconstructing the PDP and winning force in 2019 request an administrator with strong home base, profound experience and ability to confront the energy of incumbency, we require Secondus to lead these discretionary and political fights to protect Nigeria and change the phony change.

"How might you go for chairmanship when there are better deals to strike? How might you want to lead the gathering when your zone isn't a fortification of the PDP? We don't need party administrator in the South-West. Give Secondus a chance to have it," the announcement read to some degree.

The gathering said that it had started support and preparation for Secondus' rise as the PDP executive, asking the South-West wannabes to drop their aspiration and can hope for better positions in government.

Notwithstanding, George had demanded that by the experience that he had accumulated throughout the years, he remained the best contender for the position.

"We work before with exemption without plan of action to the constitution of the gathering. This time, God willing, we will regard the constitution. Our individuals should rest guaranteed that the time of exemption is finished.

"Anyone who purposefully resists the gathering's constitution ought to be demonstrated the yellow card. We must be submitted and faithful to the gathering's constitution," George said.
