Police in Imo State paraded 49 suspects, including members of a syndicate that specialised in stealing and selling children.
The police charge in Imo State on Monday paraded 49 associates, incorporating individuals with a syndicate that worked in taking and offering youngsters.
The state Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike said the posse individuals worked in Imo and Enugu states and had submitted numerous outrages.
Ezike said Obinna Eze, Oluchi Chibuike,Vitalis Lumanze, Nkiru Nwanedu, Chinyere Nwudu and one Jacinta, were captured by the police for professedly seizing and offering a five-year-old kid, Francis Nwachukwu and his two-year-old kin, Chinaza Nwachukwu, for N1.1m.
"On August 29, 2017, Oluchi Chibuike, the cousin of one Abigail Uka, came to Uzoagba, in the Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, in organization with one Obinna Eze, who Oluchi Chibuike said was her planned spouse.
"Their central goal was to take Abigail and her two kids – Francis Nwachukwu and Chimazaekpere Nwachukwu – to visit Obinna's home at Afara, in the Mbaitoli LGA", Ezike said.
The CP uncovered that Eze took Uka and her two kids on his bike at around 12pm to his home.
He said obscure to the casualty, Eze and Oluchi had closed plans to assault her and take away her kids.

"Nkiru Nwanedu, 45, exchanged the youngsters to one Jacinta Amadi of Egede in the Udi LGA of Enugu State," Ezike included.
Ezike said the main escaping individual from the group, recognized as Chinatu, would soon be captured.
