X Factor hopeful Grace Davies has Nicole Scherzinger in tears as she performs original song


Grace Davies works in a packing CDs, vinyls and T-shirts and started her singing career in the back room of 'old men's pubs'.
Grace Davies, 20, is certainly moving up in the world as she left Nicole Scherzinger welling up for the second time this series when she belted another self-penned song for the Boot Camp stages of X Factor.
The young singer, start writing songs when she was
16, performed her ballad, Don't Go, in a clip ITV released a day ahead of the next round of the singing contest which will air on Saturday night.
Demonstrating why she's already been labelled 'the new Adele' by many viewers, Grace delighted the judges with her powerful voice and soulful lyrics.
She even provided her own backing track as she skilfully played piano to accompany her beautiful tune.
Finding inspiration in her own experience of heartbreak, the X Factor hopeful's eyes filled with tears as she poured emotion into her spine-tingling melody.


As Grace belted the first chorus of the ballad, Nicole Scherzinger could be seen wiping tears from her eyes on the judges' panel - with Sharon Osbourne also welling up and Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell looking just as moved.
Grace already made a name as one of the most serious contenders for this year's competition when she wowed judges with her own creation, Roots, in her first audition.
Explaining her inspiration for the song, she said: 'It's basically about when I was singing in old men's pubs and things like that.
All the locals - and even my friends - just started to say "Grace is going to be singing in these pubs for the rest of her days".
'And I started to believe them. It was a bit heartbreaking because it was kind of like, "you're good, but you're not good enough".'
