Man assaults 13-year-old young lady to death

Chief  Magistrate's Court in Osogbo  has requested that a 30-year-old man, Ahmed Matunma Wokuekun, be remanded in Ile-Ife Prison care for supposedly assaulting a 13-year-old young lady, recognized as Dupe Lawrence, to death.

Wokuekun, who was summoned by the police on Friday, was accused of assault and murder.

The prosecutor, Olusegun Elisha, told the court that the denounced individual conferred the offense on November 17 at around 8am around Ifetedo range, Mofoworade town inside Osogbo authoritative region.

He said the offense negated Sections 221(1) and 319(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 vol. 11 Laws of Osun, 2003.

The supplication of the litigant was not taken as the justice, Mrs. Habibat Basiru, requested that the charged individual ought to be remanded in authority.

The case was dismissed to January 22, 2018, for a say.
