PDP Chairmanship: Senators, Reps trade blows at Akpabio's living house

In front of the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), individuals from the National Assembly gathering of the gathering allegedly traded blows at the home of a previous Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio, over the decision of the following national director of the gathering.

"We were scarcely settling down for the session when a few individuals from the House of Representatives raised issues concerning a few applicants for the workplace of the National Chairman and others oppose this idea.

"The improvement prompted yelling match and fisticuffs among a few Senators and individuals from the House of Representatives.

"The boisterous session was seen by the Deputy President of the Senate, Chief Ike Ekweremadu, and a portion of the applicants in participation, including a main competitor, Prince Uche Secondus."‎

Another source who argued secrecy stated: "The meeting finished unexpectedly when a few administrators began trading blows once again who should lead the gathering.

"I think the conflict was an extend of some political misconception among a few individuals from the National Assembly in a few states over the decision of executive for PDP. In any case, we as a whole endured the worst part of the fisticuffs."

An individual from the House of Representatives, who was hit at the session, stated: "I think some about our partners at the session were simply being enthusiastic by favoring one side. They misread the purpose of what we were to do.

"The presumption was that the session was intended to receive a possibility for the Office of National Chairman of PDP."

Akpabio's representative, Mr. Jackson Udom,when reached on the issue said he doesn't talk on political issues.

"For what reason wouldn't you be able to connect with the Senate Minority Leader himself? I don't talk on party matters," he said
