Fayose clarifies why Aare Ona Kakanfo top fits Gani Adams

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, says the title of the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, being presented on the Leader of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams, by the Alaafin of Oyo, Kabiyesi Iku Baba Yeye Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, resembled putting a round peg in a round gap.

Fayose expressed this in a message to salute Adams, on Wednesday, in Ado-Ekiti, through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi.

The senator said that he had presumably that the top fits Adams passing by the family of the beneficiary of the renowned title.

As per him, Oba Adeyemi settled on the correct decision in the arrangement of Adams as the Generalissimo of the Oyo Empire.

"In the Yoruba convention, before a man is met with a chieftaincy title, he should have certain administration qualities and the title of the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland is for that striking, valiant, model man who consumes with the enthusiasm to safeguard our territory and secure her advantage. All these are not ailing in the character of Otunba Gani Adams.

" I additionally compliment Iku Baba Yeye Oba Lamidi Adeyemi for settling on the correct decision and having the capacity to fill the opening that existed for about two decades after the death of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola," Fayose said.
