Why Buhari must demonstrate he's not securing his degenerate companions – Catholic Archbishop Martins

Most Rev Alfred Adewale Martins, Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, says President Muhammadu Buhari should demonstrate to Nigerians that he isn't covering defilement claims against "individuals saw to be near him".

The minister gave the call while talking with writers at the Holy Cross Cathedral on exercises denoting the centennial of the Fatima Apparitions and shutting service of Marian Year festivity, which will end with unique petitions for the congregation in Lagos State, on Thursday.

Noticing that Nigeria under the present administration can be compared to a sheep without a shepherd, Martins asked Buhari to respond the altruism it appreciated from Nigerians who liberally voted him into control in 2015 in view of the change mantra.

Martins encouraged the Buhari-drove government to altogether explore all instances of defilement regardless of who was included.

As indicated by him, "The onus is presently on President Buhari to demonstrate to the whole world that he is earnest about the war against debasement and not covering reports of defilement claims against individuals saw to be near him.

"The economy of the country is yet to discover enduring development, there are tumults everywhere throughout the country calling for change in the method of administration."
